Great site Groundhog..enjoyed every bit of it especially you in the Santa suit..lol You all are really super people.. Take care and ride safe!

Groundhog:
I'm sorry, "me" in a "Santa" suit? You must be seeing things. That was our old buddy Santa himself. He drops by every year and helps us out with the Toy Run and ringing bells to raise money for the kids. Last year he even flew in to make a special delivery at Spartan Stadium. I admit, I'm getting old and fat, but I'm way too cool to wear red pants. Glad you like the site though. And thanks for the kind words. Stop by and see us sometime.

Hey Portsmouth! Just want to let you know that we're looking forward to the annual leaf run this year. It'll be my husband's and my 6th year. We bring more & more folks each time. This year we're trying to get the Moose Rider's from my lodge (columbus) to join us for the trip. Also the Circleville Spingfield, Marysville and Hilliard Lodges. Love your site, your town, your people and love your rides.. see ya's soon! Much love & respect. On behalf of Moose Rider's Lodge #11 Columbus Oh, Becky Millenbruck (public relations officer)

Groundhog:
GREAT! And it just so happens, that the Moose Riders won largest club at our Spring Run. Now, we can't put all the Moose Riders as one club for that trophy, but each lodge would compete on its own. I'm ashamed to say I don't know off hand if it was the Portsmouth Lodge or the Ironton Lodge that won this year, but I think it was Portsmouth, lol. We're so glad you enjoy our hospitality and look forward to your group coming in. We have a new delicacy that was a big hit at the Spring Run, Deep Fried Oreo Cookies! See ya October, 19th. Be sure to find me and introduce yourself.

Groundhog:
Glad you made it Walt. We tried to figure a head count and have come up with 67, but may have missed a couple or three, lol. I think everyone had a ball. We had a bike go down on the driveway Sunday morning. The guy rode home to Columbus then went to ER and found he tore a muscle, but said he still is glad he came, lol.

Groundhog:
Hi Scott. Thanks for writing. I checked our constitution and there is nothing in there that eliminates sober, christian, morally based men. LOL. Seriiously, you would be welcome. Just understand that we respect each others views and never try to change anyone. If you find yourself in an uncomforable situation, just walk away. No one will think bad of you for that at all. We ask prospective members to come to a few meetings and or sunday rides and see who we are. If your interested, we go from there. I would never want to steer away a potential prospect, but you might also want to consider Bikers For Christ. They do a lot of charity work also and we ride with them when we can and they with us. Their website is in our links, or go to www.bfcohio.org to check them out. Hope to see ya at the clubhouse, and if you have any questions, email me at portsmouthmc@yahoo.com

Groundhog, I know what your sayn bout the Goldwing , my last bike was a 86 Interstate 1200. I put alot of miles on that bike , but I have to agree with you I like the Roadstar a little better.

Groundhog:
LOL, that's funny because mine was a 84 Interstate 1200. Had mustang seat, passenger armrest, the whole deal. Really want a mustang seat for the Star. Will have to break down and get one sometime. Thanks for the email. We hope to see you and wife soon.

Groundhog:
Glad to hear from you John. I love the Roadstar. Very stable, good riding bike. Wife preferred the Goldwing, but oh well, lol. Sundays in the summer find us at Frogtown in Ironton from time to time. Come up any Sunday. Join us for our Spring Run on May 4th if you can. We normally have between 120 and 150 bikes for that run and we always have a great time. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have.

Love your photo gallery. Hope to see more pictures or videos if possible.

Groundhog:
We have an excellent DVD taken during our 2007 Leaf Run. Some of the footage was shot from a camera mounted on top of a bikers helmet. It is about 30 minutes long and cost $15 if your interested. Our friends at A-TownAssassins shot it. I can get you a copy or you can go to their website. You will find a link on our sponsors and links page for them. Thanks for the good words. We will continue to add pics and we are discussing adding some videos in the future as well.

Hey Butch, great to hear from you. Looking forward to that ride next month. Hope to see you at the Groundhog party in August and at our Leaf Run in October. Wish you could make the Spring Run on May 4th, but understand that won't be possible for you. Maybe you can make it to the Gerard Maggard Memorial Benefit weekend the end of May?

Hey Groundhog,
Dr. Trickster here from Detroit. Just dropping a line to hi hello, haven't been in touch since I went back to Detroit after remodeling your local Kroger store. I took a trip out to Wyoming and back last summer, 3400 miles in 7 days and also visited Sturgis. Had a blast. Hope you all are doing well and say hello to the group for me. Take care.

Groundhog:
Hey Dr. Trickster! Great hearing from you. Sounds like a great ride to Wyoming. Be sure to let me know if your down this way sometime. Through a yahoo group I'm in, I know a woman in your area calls herself Lady Fred. Want me to hook ya up? LMAO. Our spring run is May 4th and our Leaf Run is October 19th. Make it down if you can.

Hey Groundhog, I think you helped sale a buddy's bike. She asked the guy if he knew a guy named groundhog. If you told her about the bike thanks for helping him sale it. She got a great bike at a great price! Thanks again!

Groundhog:
Yeah. I put the link to your webpage up that lists that bike and another on a couple of biker yahoo groups I belong to. She sent me an email wanting more information. Told her I couldn't help her, but knowing you guys, I would be fairly certain the bike had been well maintained. She loves the bike. Now, if you know anyone interested in her Kawa 550, or something like that, lol.

Is this a private club? Me and my bro are taking a kayaking trip in June and we are going to be staying in Portsmouth for and night and were looking for a good bar to hit. We are starting north of columbus and ending in St. Louis. I'd appreciate some good spirits along the way.

Groundhog:
Man, that's a Hell of a trip in a kayak. There are no bars on the Scioto I'm aware of, or in Portsmouth for that matter. Where the Scioto joins the Ohio, there is a park and our clubhouse is above the park. If someone happens to be there when you are, your welcome to come in for a cold one or two. As you head down the Ohio, in Ripley Ohio there is Snappers Bar right on the river. Even has a boat ramp right in front of the place. You'll want to stop there for sure. Good Luck on your trip.

Groundhog:
Let me rephrase that, No bars on the river in Portsmouth. There are several bars in Portsmouth. Closest to The Scioto and Ohio is Pat's on 2nd street and Brew Pub on 2nd street. Also Ye Ole Lantern and Damon's on 2nd. After that there are MANY to be had. Email me for more information if you like:
